October 2011 Sketching User Experiences: The Workbook
The book "Sketching User Experiences: The Workbook" (Morgan-Kaufmann) that I'm co-authoring with Saul Greenberg, Sheelagh Carpendale, and Bill Buxton, goes into print soon and will be available later this year.
October 2011 Proximity Toolkit at UIST 2011
Our paper about the Proximity Toolkit (prototyping proxemic interactions) has been conditionally accepted to UIST 2011. The conference is in Santa Barbara, California - and right after fly to Seattle to work at Microsoft Research. It's an exciting year!
September 2011 Paper accepted at INTERACT 2011
At INTERACT 2011 in Portugal we will present our work about the Continuous Interaction Space - interaction techniques above and around interactive surfaces.
May 2011 Doctoral consortium at CHI 2011
At CHI 2011 in Vancouver I will participate in the doctoral consortium and present my PhD research in Proxemic Interactions in Ubicomp Ecologies. I look forward to having fantastic discussions with fellow students and the panelists.
November 2010 Two papers and doctoral symposium at ITS 2010
I'm travelling to ITS 2010 conference in November to present our proxemics and tabletop research. I also participate at the Doctoral Symposium, and really look forward to the discussions with other PhD students.
January 2010 Paper and demo accepted for CHI 2010 in Atlanta
My work at Microsoft Research Cambridge about RFID awareness and control has been accepted as a paper and demonstration (media showcase) for CHI 2010 in Atlanta. This is a project I did in collaboration with Alex Taylor and Nic Villar (from MSR), as well as Saul Greenberg.
January 2010 Traveling to Boston/Cambridge for TEI 2010
At TEI 2010 conference in Cambridge/MA I will present our work on visualizing physical devices and event flow for ubicomp environments. The conference is at the MIT, and just by looking through the conference program I'm sure this will be a great conference.
August 2009 Paper at Tabletop 2009 conference
A paper about a project investigating tactile feedback on tabletop interfaces got accepted at the Tabletop 2009 conference. This is a project I worked on in the last month together with Miguel Nacenta and Jim Young.
